Department of Property, Protection and Security
Purpose of the Section
Our aim is to train private security officers and future security manager candidates who have security awareness and are equipped to provide quality service to the society in the field of security, to use the developing technology of our age and to develop measures against security threats that may arise in the future.
General Information
The fact that borders between countries have almost completely disappeared, both politically and physically, and that the world has become a small village thanks to information technologies, has caused people's perception of security to develop and change. Operating in safe environments as individuals and as a society has become the key to being happy and peaceful. For this reason, in addition to general law enforcement services, the need for private security institutions has also emerged in the activities of protection, protection, safeguarding and security, which we can count as components of the need for security.
The activities carried out in private security services have various limitations in terms of the area of duty and security actions. Within these limits, private security services include qualities such as seeing what is being looked at, being able to reason, being able to make analysis/synthesis, and being able to think analytically. Providing these qualities to the personnel who will work in the private security sector can be achieved through serious and detailed training. Within this framework; with our training program that closely follows current developments and areas of need, our students are aimed to become private security personnel who have knowledge in areas such as human psychology, being able to make quick decisions, being able to reason, being able to make predictions, being able to reach a conclusion by thinking analytically, being able to persuade and empathize, and being respectful of human rights, and who have internalized this knowledge.
